Thanks in large part to first baseman David Jankowski, the Calgary Cowboys beat the Waimea Wind, 13-5. Jankowski went 3-4 with a triple, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Calgary, at 71-53, sits in first place in the RCL AAA Tony La Russa Division.

The Wind had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the Cowboys going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 25-year old third baseman Ken Poulin came to the plate. Poulin hit a run-scoring double on a 0-1 circle change from Waimea hurler Daniel Castro. It was Poulin's 14th double of the year.

"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Jankowski said.
