Cats Score Late to Upend Aeropostales, 6-3
|
It was a fun time at LaGrave Field, where the Indian Wells Aeropostales and Fort Worth Cats tangled.
The Fort Worth Cats topped the Indian Wells Aeropostales, 6-3, in RCL AAA action at LaGrave Field. The player of the game was Fort Worth pitcher and Metairie, Louisiana native Jake Drummond. Fort Worth reliever Doug Durham picked up the win, upping his record to 6-2. Bob Hunt was saddled with the loss. Ben Bower nailed down his 3rd save.
Fort Worth took a 4-3 lead on Jason Leahy's 9th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Leahy hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Indian Wells pitcher Bob Hunt visibly frustrated.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Leahy.
Fort Worth is now 54-69.
