Coal Miners Take Home 4-0 Win Over Calgary
The first-place Antioch Coal Miners picked up another win.

The Antioch Coal Miners defeated the Calgary Kodiaks, 4-0, in TML AAA action at The Coal Mine. Antioch pitcher Brian Cullen had a standout performance. The winning pitcher was Cullen, now 3-1. He tossed 5 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 2. Paul Cummins, who is tied for 9th in the TAAA in saves with 15, nailed down the save.

Nate Haskins had a big run-scoring double for the Coal Miners in the bottom of the third inning. With Antioch leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a curveball from former first round draft pick Nazir Nance and swatted a double to right. It was his 35th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Coal Miners ahead, 2-0.

"We made a couple of mistakes," said Calgary skipper Stanley Harvey, "and it cost us."

The Coal Miners raised their record to 74-50.
