Adkinson Leads Armadillos to 6-3 Win Over Freeze
|
Good production from first baseman James Adkinson helped the Amarillo Armadillos topple the Minneapolis Freeze, 6-3. Adkinson was 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for the Armadillos. Getting the save was Gregg Boucher, his 5th. The Armadillos now have a record of 67-56.
Amarillo used the timely hitting of Chris Hart to seize the win. The catcher stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Armadillos on top, 6-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"There's a lot of good karma around our club," said winning manager Tyler Bulman.
