Armadillos Stay Hot, Beat Mustangs, 7-4

The Amarillo Armadillos finished off the Billings Mustangs, 7-4. Much of the credit belonged to designated hitter Travis MacDonald. MacDonald was 1 for 1 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for the Armadillos. Amarillo reliever Tom Hughes got the win, raising his record to 2-4. John Koch was tagged with the loss. David Frisk, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 4th save.
MacDonald had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 1-0 sinker from John Koch, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Armadillos a 5-4 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for MacDonald.
"You win some, you lose some. I don't get too caught up in all that," said MacDonald.
The losing streak for Billings has now reached 4 games.
