Freeze Rebuff Raiders, 11-9
The Minneapolis Freeze dumped the Reno Raiders, 11-9, in large part due to third baseman Rob Heyward. On the day, Heyward went 4 for 5 with 4 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Freeze. Minneapolis reliever Tommy Cedrone picked up the win, upping his record to 2-2. Gilles Bousquet was saddled with the loss. Adam Walsh collected his 5th save.

Huntington Beach, California native Rob Heyward had a clutch at-bat in the bottom of the seventh for the Freeze. With Minneapolis trailing 7-6, he hit a 2-run single.

"Another day, another win. On to the next one," Heyward told the Minneapolis Observer.

Minneapolis now sits at 56-60, while Reno falls to 58-59.
