Victory Over Fireballs Takes Minneapolis to 77-38
With second baseman Julio Lemus leading the charge, the Minneapolis Freeze defeated the Joplin Fireballs, 7-5, at The Firepit. Lemus went 3-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs. Alex Munoz was the winning pitcher. Over 6.1 innings, he allowed 4 runs on 9 hits, with 2 walks and 2 strikeouts. Minneapolis is now 77-38, 6½ games up in the TMLAAA Joe Torre Division.

The Freeze got a gift in the top of the third inning, when they were leading 4-0. With two out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Jose Bonilla reached on an error by the 2B, driving in 2 runs. It made the score 6-0, Minneapolis.

"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Lemus told reporters after the game.
