Billings parlayed a decent outing from starter Jason Martin into a solid win over the Pasadena Bumblebees. The final score was 5-4. The winner was Ken Pratt in relief. His record improves to 4-3. Junzo Yamabe took the loss. Billings is now 41-73, Pasadena 59-56.

The decisive blow was delivered by Larry Kennedy in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a run-scoring double off 27-year old right-handed pitcher Junzo Yamabe to win the game for Billings. The home crowd went nuts.

"Jason is tough when he's hitting his spots," said Billings manager Robbie Doyle.
