Owusu Excels, But Argonauts Win
Minneapolis designated hitter Jeremy Owusu had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Owusu was 2 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 4 runs and scored once, even as Astoria beat the Freeze, 11-5. The winner in relief was Ernie Jones. He is now 2-3. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 3.2 innings. The win puts the Argonauts at 54-60, while the Freeze drop to 54-60.

Mike Coyle had a big 3-run home run for the Argonauts in the bottom of the third inning. With Astoria trailing 2-1 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he sized up a slider from 26-year old right-handed pitcher Victor Hernandez and punished it. The result was his 16th home run of the season, which put the Argonauts on top, 4-2.

"Feels good to get the job done," Coyle said after the game.
