Dickens Strokes 5 Hits
Bobby Dickens was sizzling at the plate. The El Paso left fielder blistered the Kansas City Tornadoes for 5 hits in 5 at-bats, but couldn't prevent his club from falling to defeat, 11-10.

"Dickens was too tough to get out today," Tornadoes skipper Lewis Cannon said in a postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too. But hey, I don't mind if every game somebody gets 5 hits off us, as long as we win."
