The Firepit was the site for TML AAA action featuring the Joplin Fireballs and Billings Mustangs.

The timely hitting of Mark Carrozza helped the Billings Mustangs down the Joplin Fireballs, 5-2. Carrozza hit 2 home runs for the Mustangs. The winning pitcher was 24-year old right-handed pitcher Bobby Avila. He tossed 117 pitches over 8 innings, allowing 2 runs on 5 hits.
