Eclipse Squelch Ridge Runners Offense in Shutout Win
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Chicago Eclipse and Eagle Rock Ridge Runners.

Right-hander Joe McKnight mesmerized the Eagle Rock Ridge Runners while leading the Chicago Eclipse to a 4-0 victory. The winner was McKnight. He threw 6.0 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Khalil Haywood.

Chicago used a clutch at-bat from Chris Ratliff to capture the win. The first baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Eclipse ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"I thought Joe threw the ball well across the board," said Chicago manager Demetrio Recchia.

At 20-8, the Eclipse have played well so far.
