The Fairfield Flash got a good effort from starter Steve Dorff in defeating the Calgary Hitmen at Durham Bulls Athletic Park. The final score was 5-0. The winner was Dorff. He threw 5.0 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Jeff Spotton. Josh Wucherer earned the save for Fairfield, his 1st.

The Fairfield dugout showed signs of unrest at times. But the Flash put this one in the win column with some good pitching and some timely hitting at critical moments.
