Bravo Lifts Coal Miners to 13-7 Win
The Antioch Coal Miners stopped the Joplin Fireballs, 13-7, behind an impressive performance from Sergio Bravo. The 24-year old third baseman made life miserable for Joplin pitching. He was 4 for 5 with a double and 3 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Clay Parsley earned the win in relief. The left-hander allowed 2 runs on 4 hits in 4.1 innings. He upped his record to 1-0. The Coal Miners, at 69-45, have now won 6 straight.

Antioch took advantage of an error in the bottom of the seventh inning. The game was tied, 5-5, when Oscar Vivar hit a 2-run single that was misplayed. It put the Coal Miners in front, 7-5.

"We'll keep playing hard and let the chips fall where they may," said Antioch manager Jordan Hay.
