The Reno Raiders knocked off the Albany Firebirds, 6-3, in TML AAA action at House of Pain. Reno pitcher and Jacmel, Haiti, native Gilles Bousquet had an outstanding performance. Bousquet, now 1-2, was the winner. In 8.1 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 8, walking 4, and allowing 3 runs. Mike Cornwell picked up his 6th save of the season.

Oscar Baez had a big solo home run for the Raiders in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Reno leading 1-0 and the bases empty, he sized up a slider from 25-year old left-handed pitcher Jaden Gantt and punished it. The result was his 8th home run of the season, which put the Raiders on top, 2-0.

"It's always nice to be on the winning side," Bousquet told the Reno Chronicle. "But we take nothing for granted."

Reno, at 58-39, holds down first place in the TML AAA Joe Torre Division.
