5-3 Triumph Takes Albuquerque to 61-35
|
The Albuquerque Cacti picked up a win, 5-3, over the Fairfield Flash at Durham Bulls Athletic Park. Chris Huston led the charge. The Baltimore, Maryland native was 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for Albuquerque. Yoo-ngan Chen earned the save for Albuquerque, his 23rd of the year. With the win, Albuquerque goes to 61-35, while the Flash fall to 55-42.
Albuquerque used a clutch at-bat from Mark Ballard to capture the win. The first baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Cacti ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"I put some good swings on the ball," said Huston.
