The Calgary Cowboys weathered a fine game by Fairfield second baseman Hunter Wells to upend the Flash, 12-10, at Durham Bulls Athletic Park. Wells was 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Calgary leads the RCL AAA Tony La Russa Division by 6 games.

Calgary used the timely hitting of Aaron Renn to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Cowboys on top, 11-9. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Our team showed some spunk," said Renn.
