The 6-5 Pasadena win over Indianapolis was due in large part to Josh Helms. The Bumblebees center fielder went 2 for 3 with a double, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 runs. The winner was Pasadena reliever Mike Coker, now 6-8. The loser was Jerry Bamberg. The win for the Bumblebees lifted their record to 50-44.

Robby Williams was the walk-off hero for Pasadena. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Bumblebees third baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
