Jonathan McMenamin brought his A-game to help Fort Worth defeat the Anchorage Moose, 3-1. McMenamin yielded 1 run over 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 1, and struck out 4. His record improves to 8-9. By defeating Anchorage, the 5th-place Cats improved to 45-49.

Roberto Miranda, who is tied for 6th in the RAAA in stolen bases with 15, had a timely hit in the bottom of the fifth inning. With two out and a runner on 2nd, the Fort Worth third baseman hit a run-scoring single. That put the Cats in front, 2-1.

"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Fort Worth manager Dudha Goli.
