Calgary Loss Tarnishes Fine Game by Stark
The Memphis Privateers weathered an outstanding game by Calgary first baseman Kevin Stark to topple the Hitmen, 11-9. Stark hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 5. Nelson Amador earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed 2 runs on 3 hits in 3.1 innings. He upped his record to 1-5. With the win, the Privateers hiked their record to 50-45.

Jose Espinoza had a big 2-run double for the Privateers in the bottom of the second inning. With Memphis leading 4-2 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a forkball from Juan Recio and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 1st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Privateers ahead, 6-2.

"It's always extra special to win at home," said Espinoza.
