Gonick Propels Fairfield Offense in 11-3 Rout
The Fairfield Flash handed the Thunder Bay Black Bears a sound defeat, 11-3, at Edgbaston. Jason Gonick was a main contributor to the win. He went 4 for 5 with 4 singles, while scoring 3 and driving in 2 for Fairfield. Israel Velasquez picked up the win in relief. Victor Figueroa took the loss for Thunder Bay. The win for the Flash raised their record to 55-39.

A key moment came with two out in the top of the second. That's when Gonick hit a fastball from Victor Figueroa for a run-scoring single, putting Fairfield up, 2-1.

"Every manager loves to see an offensive outburst from his team," said Fairfield skipper Edward Batkin.
