The Bighorn Bison defeated the Dallas Texans by the score of 11-8, with the biggest share of the credit going to right fielder Tony Mares. Mares was 4-5 with a home run and 2 doubles. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3 for the Bison on the day. The win gives Bighorn a record of 15-8.

Had Jeff Tackett not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Tackett hit a bases-clearing double. That made the score 11-8, in favor of the Bison.
