The Bighorn Bison converted a terrific effort from starter Gordie White into a win over the Dallas Texans at Metroplex Park. The Bison won the game by a final score of 5-2. Zach Phillips, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2051 draft, picked up the win in relief. Chris Nugent took the loss for Dallas. Jeff Pritchard collected his 2nd save.

Bighorn used the timely hitting of Cody Ley to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Bison on top, 5-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

Ley called the win "an overall solid one."

The win brings the Bison to 10-14, an inauspicious start for a team that made the playoffs last season.
