Hens Defeat Wind, 6-5
The Hendersonville Hens clipped the Waimea Wind, 6-5, in 15 innings at The Coop. The standout performance belonged to Hendersonville pitcher and Mauston, Wisconsin, native Jared Vanderford. John Richardson, 5-2, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. Hendersonville bumps their record to 61-30 with the win.

The decisive blow was delivered by Josh Bigrigg in the bottom of the 15th when he hit a run-scoring double off 31-year old right-handed pitcher Franco Lano to win the game for Hendersonville. The home crowd went nuts.

"Exciting game to play in," said Vanderford. "Getting the win makes it even better."
