Ambition Reel Off Another Win
The Indianapolis Ambition beat the Pasadena Bumblebees by a score of 10-8. Indianapolis third baseman Ryan Godec deserved the lion's share of the credit. Godec went 2-3 with a double and 2 walks, while scoring 2 for the Ambition. Will Witten, who went 5.2 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 7 runs on 10 hits, while walking 6 and striking out 3. His record now stands at 4-6. Picking up his 16th save was 20-year old left-handed pitcher David Lewis.

Tekle Njoka had a big 2-run double for the Ambition in the bottom of the second inning. With Indianapolis trailing 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a sinker from Bill Dukes, who is tied for 4th in the TAAA in innings pitched with 136.2, and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 4th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Ambition ahead, 2-1.

"When their pitchers are leaving stuff over the heart of the plate, we're not missing it," said Indianapolis manager Zi-jun Gou.

Indianapolis has now reeled off 6 straight wins.
