The Buffalo Bison tallied a win at Thundering Grounds at Bison Stadium, throttling the Bloomington Blazers, 3-2. Starting pitcher Jim Wallace was a big reason for his team's success. The win went to Gary Halliwell in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Sergio Apodaca took the loss. Mike Waldrup closed the door for Buffalo, picking up his 2nd save of the year.

Cliff Millar, who led the TML in runs with 135 last year, took Bloomington hurler Sergio Apodaca deep in the bottom of the eighth. His 2-run home run put the Bison on top, 3-2. In all, Millar had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

"I was a little disappointed," said Bloomington manager Scott Andrews. "We could've and should've scored more runs."

Buffalo is now 3-0.
