The exploits of left fielder Griffin Matte, the 16th overall pick in the 2057 draft, helped the Tallahassee Captains defeat the Bowling Green Racers, 9-2. Matte went 3-5 with a triple and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. The Captains raised their record to 35-54.

Tallahassee took control in the top of the sixth. With one out and the bases loaded, Chris Hankins hit a 2-run single to make it 4-2, Captains.

"They took it to us," said Bowling Green manager Ron Jeremy.
