The Pasadena Bumblebees stymied the Joplin Fireballs, 6-2, at The Hole. Mark Lloyd had a good day at the plate. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 for Pasadena. The win went to Vinny Ortiz in relief. His record improves to 5-3. Ramon Franco took the loss. Dustin Phillips finished to wrap up his 22nd save.

Lloyd had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 2-0 sinker from Ramon Franco, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Bumblebees a 4-2 lead. It was the 11th home run of the year for Lloyd.

Lloyd called the win "an overall solid one."

With the win, Pasadena pushed its record to 61-44.
