Mustangs Come Back Late to Top Freeze
The Billings Mustangs grabbed a 9-7 win over the Minneapolis Freeze at Cobb Field. Billings shortstop Willie Soto was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2 to earn player of the game honors. Billings reliever Kyle Lavole was the winner. His record is now 2-1. The losing pitcher was Pete DeCaprio. At 41-64, Billings is in last place in the TMLAAA Cito Gaston League.

Frank Pena came through for Billings in the bottom of the ninth. With two out, Pena victimized Pete DeCaprio with a 2-run home run. It was his 15th home run of the season and put Billings on top, 9-7.

"Anyone who says he's not out there thinking about personal accomplishments is not telling the truth," Pena said later.
