Big Day by Sustaita Ignites Raiders Win
The Reno Raiders defeated the Vancouver Canadians, 8-2, at Stanley Park. Reno catcher Pablo Sustaita was named player of the game for his superb performance. He went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 5. Orlando Cordoba earned the win for Reno. He lasted 7 innings, allowing 2 earned runs on 8 hits, while striking out 3. With the win, he raised his record to 6-9. The 5th-place Raiders are now 37-66, the Canadians 44-57.

Sustaita had a big at-bat with the bases loaded in the top of the second inning, when he drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The Raiders went on to win.

Vancouver manager José Parra said his team was "out of sync."
