Freddie Riordan impressed in the 3-1 San Francisco win over Seattle. Riordan, who is a two-time All-Star, went 3-3 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2. Ethan Howell earned the save for San Francisco. With the loss, Seattle drops to 11-15.

San Francisco took a 3-1 lead on Riordan's 1st home run of the season. The solo home run, which he hit off Rick Rielly in the bottom of the seventh, propelled San Francisco to the win.

"Tough loss," said Seattle manager Alim bin Umar. "But we'll learn from it."
