Starting pitcher Chris Sweeney gave the Hawaii Honu a rock-solid effort. The Shreveport, Louisiana native helped his team defeat the Seattle Sasquatch, 3-2, at Sasquatch Field at Brewbaker Family Memorial Stadium. After losing, Seattle is 12-14.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Ramon Torres? The two-time All-Star Torres stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put Hawaii up, 3-2. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.

"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Sweeney said.
