Behind a solid performance from right fielder Tyler Webb, the Fort Worth Cats defeated the Joplin Fireballs, 5-4. Webb was 3-4 with 2 doubles and a walk. He scored 2 times for the Cats. The winner was Ben Bower in relief. His record improves to 5-4. Joel Stapleton took the loss. The Cats, at 45-55, sit in 4th place in the RCL AAA Bobby Cox Division.

One of the biggest contributors for Fort Worth was second baseman Armando Espinoza. In the bottom of the tenth, with the bases empty, Espinoza got a 2-2 cutter and hit a walk-off solo home run. That put the Cats on top, 5-4.

Espinoza described the clubhouse as "kind of rowdy" after the game.
