The Thunder Bay Black Bears topped the Reno Raiders, 5-4, in RCL AAA action at House of Pain. The game was highlighted by the performance of Thunder Bay pitcher Joseph Fredericks. Fredericks yielded 3 runs over 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 9 hits, walked 1, and struck out 4. His record improves to 1-0. Reno's current losing streak has reached 5 games.

Stephen Sherrill had a big 2-run home run for the Black Bears in the top of the fifth inning.
