The Thunder Bay Black Bears picked up a win at Ken Griffey Jr. Plaza, downing the Indianapolis Ambition, 5-3. On the mound for Thunder Bay was right-hander Josh McCloud, who played a pivotal role in the win. McCloud got the win, improving to 3-0. He gave up 7 hits and walked 5 over 6.2 innings. He allowed 3 runs. Bobby Boeckner earned his 3rd save, after closing out the game.

The Black Bears got a big at-bat from first baseman Samuel Redden. For the game, Redden went 1 for 5 with a double. In the top of the first, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 5th double of the season gave Thunder Bay a 1-0 lead.
