Freeze Continue Hot Streak with Extra-Inning Win
Thanks in large part to designated hitter Chris Tomich, the Minneapolis Freeze clipped the Waimea Wind, 7-6, in 17 innings. Tomich slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Minneapolis has run its win streak to 6 straight.

Tomich had a game-changing home run in the top of the 17th. On a first pitch splitter from Javy Villalobos, he banged a solo home run to left, giving the Freeze a 7-6 lead. It was the 22nd home run of the year for Tomich.

Freeze manager Ben Jeffcoat praised Tomich after the game. "I keep telling everyone," he said, "'Don't go to sleep on this kid.'"
