Amarillo and Indianapolis duked it out and the Armadillos came out victorious.

The Amarillo Armadillos defeated the Indianapolis Ambition, 7-4. First Baseman Matt Griffin deserved a large share of the credit. Griffin was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs for the Armadillos. Mark Hartje picked up the win with 5.1 innings of work. He allowed 3 runs on 9 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 0. On the season, he is now 9-3.

It could have been a different outcome for Amarillo, had it not been for James Adkinson, the 20-year old third baseman . Adkinson contributed a 2-run double in the top of the second inning to put Amarillo up, 5-0.

In postgame comments to the Amarillo Today, Griffin said, "Our goal is to stack wins."

With the win, Amarillo raised its record to 49-49.
