Sasquatch Collect 6-5 Win Over Stogies
|
The Seattle Sasquatch defeated the Havana Stogies in 12 innings, 6-5, in part because of left fielder Charles McNeil. McNeil was 2-4 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 3 for the Sasquatch. After losing, Havana is 11-11.
Jose Gonzalez drew 1 walk in 5 plate appearances for Seattle. The 22-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the top of the 12th. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 5-5 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Brad Dye. It was his 6th RBI of the season.
In postgame remarks, McNeil simply said: "Here's to a great win!"
