The Albuquerque Cacti and Billings Mustangs provided some drama at Cobb Field.

The Billings Mustangs eked out a 5-4 win versus the Albuquerque Cacti at Cobb Field. Nobody did more than pitcher Teagan Cooper, who captured player of the game honors. In 7 innings, Cooper surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 2. He allowed 3 runs. Roger Montgomery was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 11 of 13 save opportunities.

In the bottom of the third, the Mustangs took a 4-3 lead when Dallas Fugate hit a 2-run home run.

"We'll enjoy this win for now, but it's just one," Cooper told local reporters. "We've got to keep it going."

The Mustangs now have a record of 37-62 with the win over Albuquerque.
