Stanley Park was the site of a tense game between the Vancouver Canadians and Indian Wells Aeropostales.
The Indian Wells Aeropostales picked up a win at Stanley Park, knocking off the Vancouver Canadians, 3-1. Starting pitcher Luis Salcido played a key role in the triumph. In 6.2 innings, Salcido surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 1. He allowed 1 run. Yoon-tae Pack earned his 3rd save in 4 chances.
In the top of the fourth, with Indian Wells leading 1-0, Jose Bonilla hit a curveball from Yoshiyuki Matsuda for a 2-run triple, giving the Aeropostales the lead, 3-0.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Salcido said.
Indian Wells is now 51-43, 2½ games up in the RCL AAA Bobby Cox Division.
