Led by Bill Pride, the Albuquerque Cacti downed the Bowling Green Racers, 6-5, in 12 innings. Pride was 1 for 1 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for the Cacti. The 4th-place Racers now sit at 50-46.

The decisive blow was delivered by Perry Frazer in the bottom of the 12th when he hit a run-scoring double off 27-year old right-handed pitcher David Heisler to win the game for Albuquerque. The home crowd went nuts.
