Captains Win, 5-1, at Waimea
|
Riding the 2-hit performance of the 26-year old first baseman Sean Hanson, the Tallahassee Captains stopped the Waimea Wind, 5-1, in 9 innings. Janghyun Lee picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 3-0. Tristan Cooperman suffered the loss. The Captains improved their record to 51-43 by beating Waimea.
Hanson had a game-changing double in the top of the sixth. On a 2-1 slider from Tristan Cooperman, he banged a run-scoring double to right, giving the Captains a 2-1 lead. It was the 8th double of the year for Hanson.
Tallahassee manager Luis Sánchez called it "a good, solid win."
