Ayers K's 10 En Route to 3-0 Freeze Win
In a tight battle between the Minneapolis Freeze and the Joplin Fireballs, pitcher Dan Ayers was in the zone. The Minneapolis right-hander was named the player of the game in Minneapolis's 3-0 win. Pete DeCaprio got the save, his 3rd in 4 chances. Minneapolis is now 62-28, 5 games up in the TMLAAA Joe Torre Division.

Ayers, who dominated for Minneapolis, earned the victory to move to 13-2. He was in control the whole game, scattering 2 hits over 7.2 innings, while striking out 10. Joplin batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.

Ayers said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
