9-5 Loss to Armada Extends Maple Losing Streak
|
Armada first baseman John Bramante left his mark on his team's 9-5 win over the Maple Marauders. Bramante, who is tied for 2nd in the TML in bases on balls with 18, was 3-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for Quebec in the contest. The Marauders, now 6-16, continue their inauspicious start.
Dan Nieman had a big 2-run double for the Armada in the top of the second inning. With Quebec leading 2-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a fastball from fan favorite Billy Dionne and swatted a double to right. It was his 7th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Armada ahead, 4-0.
"I'm proud to wear a Quebec jersey," Bramante told the Quebec Daily. "We played a good game and came out with the win. What more can you ask for?"
