The Calgary Cowboys dumped the Cozumel Beaches, 8-4, in large part due to pinch hitter Shawn Kelly. On the day, Kelly went 1-1 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Cowboys. Jeff Woods got credit for the win, improving to 1-1. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. The Cowboys bumped their record to 53-37 with this win.

In the bottom of the eighth, the Cowboys grabbed the lead when Kelly hit his 7th home run of the season. The 3-run home run off Brandon Hubacek made it 6-4, Calgary.
