The Minneapolis Freeze topped the Billings Mustangs, 5-3, in TML AAA action at The Ice Box. The game was highlighted by the performance of Minneapolis pitcher Devin Gammon. Mike O'Neil sewed up the save, his 17th. Minneapolis, now 39-37, holds down 4th place in the TML AAA Joe Torre Division.

Rob Heyward had a big run-scoring double for the Freeze in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Minneapolis leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from 22-year old right-handed pitcher Jason Martin and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 11th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Freeze ahead, 2-0.

"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Minneapolis manager Ben Jeffcoat.
