Sasquatch Earn Late Win
|
Seattle third baseman Raul Navarro made his presence felt in the 5-4 Sasquatch triumph over the Bighorn Bison. Navarro went 2-3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Seattle reliever Paul Massaro picked up the win to move to 1-2. Nick Merritt suffered the loss. Bighorn falls to 13-12.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Seattle first baseman Steve Svehla, facing Nick Merritt, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Sasquatch the 5-4 win.
"The crowd was juiced," said Navarro.
