Frank Frisby pitched well enough to win, but it was not to be. The Amarillo Armadillos, despite Frisby's fine outing, dropped a 3-2 decision to the Albany Firebirds at Capital Grounds. Albany reliever Chris Baggett was the winner. His record is now 2-0. The losing pitcher was Frank Frisby. Nathan Al-Assel was called on to finish, recording his 6th save.

Albany took a 3-2 lead on Steve Scott's 6th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Scott hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Amarillo pitcher Frank Frisby visibly frustrated.

Scott called the win a testament to his team's "tenacity."

The Firebirds now have a record of 35-41.
