Jesus Giron pitched a gem to lead Bowling Green to victory over the Peoria Caterpillars, 3-1, in 10 innings. The 4th-place Racers now have a win-loss record of 46-43.

Bowling Green got a knockout punch from Andres Silvestre. The third baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the bottom of the tenth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"I can't say enough about Jesus," said Bowling Green manager Ron Jeremy. "He stepped up when we needed him."
