Minneapolis first baseman Mike Mathers had a 4-RBI game, which helped his team beat the Reno Raiders, 6-4. The win was credited to Robbie Flanders in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Travis Zastrow took the loss. Pete DeCaprio sewed up the save, his 2nd.

Mathers had a game-changing double in the top of the ninth. On a 2-1 fastball from Kai-ge Ching, he banged a 2-run double to right, giving the Freeze a 6-4 lead. It was the 19th double of the year for Mathers.

"Our guys are never satisfied," said Minneapolis manager Jim Crawford.

The first-place Freeze have won 5 straight.
