Starting pitcher Bob Vasquez took care of business, helping the Pasadena Bumblebees stifle the Thunder Bay Black Bears, 3-2. Pasadena reliever Akzer Ohyancha picked up the win. Nathan Al-Assel took the loss for Thunder Bay. Pasadena now has a record of 39-33 with the win.

Pasadena got a clutch hit from John McKinley. The pinch hitter launched a solo home run in the bottom of the tenth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a kill shot.

"Bob kept his poise and got the job done," said Pasadena manager David Williams. "He was outstanding."
