Loss to Bumblebees Extends Candiac Losing Streak
|
Pasadena right-hander Andrew Thompson pitched his team to victory over the Candiac Redbirds at Municipal Stadium. The final score was 6-4. Atsuya Suda got the save, his 3rd in 5 chances. The second-place Bumblebees have won 4 straight games.
The outcome might have been different for Pasadena, had it not been for Tony Leon, the 23-year old third baseman . Leon stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the third inning to put Pasadena up, 2-0. For the game, he was 3 for 5, including 1 double and 2 singles.
"There were things that we could've improved upon," said Bumblebees manager Tom Klein, "but all in all, I'm satisfied with our performance."
